11 December - Aloha to Ms. Pesto who has gone to join her new home with Windstar Aussies and Adam Tavares III. Best Wishes! We miss her already!

29 November - The Tani babies have arrived! 9 Beautiful Black Newfie babies are with us!  5 Bitches, and 4 dogs. Preview photos are posted on the Tani X Buzz Pix Page

14-16 November - Council Bluffs was lots of fun this weekend! Quincy (CH Cachalot’s Made in the USA) got a leg toward his CD at the HANC Regional on Friday and took second place in his class! Congratulations Nicki and Quincy.

On Saturday, Pesto (Briarbrook’s the Tempest) was Winners Bitch, and Best of Winners for her first points!

and Vin (CH. Briarbrook’s Private Reserve) was Best of Breed on her first day out as a special..... and on to a Group 3 placement!

12 November - The Tempo babies have arrived!  9 beautiful bouncing babies!!!! 7 bitches and 2 dogs!

8 November - Magic (AKC/ASCA CH. ClanKeep’s Magic Legend, OA, NAJ, RS-N, NAC)  got 2 legs toward her NADAC Open title ! Congratulations !!!!

Additional congratulations to Fiann Student Peggy & Steve Pack, and their Newfoundlands  Luna (Martingrove’s Lunar Eclipse, WRD, DD) and Balou (Midnite Bay’s Bear Necessities, CGC) both of whom went winners last weekend at Springfield MO, and Balou went on to BOB!

More congratulations to Fiann Granddaughter Liberty (Al Nair’s Let Freedom Ring) who was Reserve Winners bitch in Springfield!

26 October - Vin is now CH. Briarbrook’s Private Reserve! She was WB/BOW for a 5 point major at Sioux Falls, SD! Hurray Vinnie!!!

18 October - Congratulations to Linda Whitaker and Magic (AKC/ASCA CH. ClanKeep’s Magic Legend, OA, NAJ, RS-N, NAC) on adding another agility title! Magic finished her Jumps with Weaves Novice title, and is well on her way in the Excellents class! Congratulations team!

1 October - Congratulations to Ropa (Fiann’s Phonecian Princess CD, AX, MXJ, CGC, NAC, NGC) and her mum Lisa on their new Masters Agility Jumpers title (MXJ)..... What a team! We are VERY proud!

1 October - Quincy (CH. Cachalot’s Made in the USA) got his OFA’s back.  He is Hips Good & Elbows normal! Congratulations Quincy!!!!!

27 September - Magic (AKC/ASCA CH. ClanKeep’s Magic Legend, OA, RS-N, NAC) just got her OPEN Agility title this weekend in just 2 trials... and another JWW leg!!!!!Congratulations to Magic and her Mum, Linda Whitaker of Seun Aussies!

21 September - Quincy (CH. Cachalot’s Made in the USA) is now an Operational Search and Rescue Dog for Human Remains Detection! Congratulations to Quincy and his  Mum Nicki for such fine work, and success by only age 2!!!!!

21 -24 August - Kansas City Show Cluster

Saturday 23 August:  Kiera Rice, Fiann’s latest Jr. Handler made her debut in the Novice Junior! She and Mischief were a wonderful team. We are VERY proud!

Several Fiann students got class placements, points and majors this weekend! Congratulations to all!

Friday 22 August:  Ruthie finished her championship (NEW CH. Briarbrook’s Toodaloo) going Winners Bitch/Best of Winners for her 4th Major, under judge Annie Rogers Clark!  Huge thanks to her Breeder/Co-Owner, Linda Wilson!

Thursday 21 August: ...... Quincy (CH. Cachalot’s Made in the USA) and his other Mum Nicki qualified for their first leg in Novice obedience on Thursday..... Congratulations!!!!!

25-26 July - Congratulations to Magic (ASCA/AKC CH Clankeep’s Magic Legend NA, RS-N, NAC ) and her Mum Linda on her FIRST Open Agility leg, and her first time out in Jumps with Weaves Novice B for a leg and a second place in a VERY competitive class!!! 

5-6 July - Sedalia Mo was hot, but worth the trip. Quincy (CH. Cachalot’s Made in the USA) was BOB on his first day out as a special with a large Newf entry of Majors on both sides!  On Saturday, Ruthie (Briarbrook’s Toodaloo) was RWB, and on Sunday Vin (Briarbrook’s Private Reserve) was RWB. Nero (Fiann’s Big Bad Wolfe) was Best of Breed Bred By Exhibitor and took a Bred-By Group III !!!!!

14-15 June - Ruthie (Briarbrook’s Toodaloo) was WB for her 3rd major in Ft. Dodge, IA!

11 June - Quincy (CH. Cachalot’s Made in the USA) joined the Fiann Family!  I have the honour and privilage of being a member of Quincy’s family. Many thanks to his ‘Mum& Da’ Nicki Gundersen, and his ‘Birth Mum’ Kathy McIver, for the opportunity.

3-4 May - Huge Congrations to new title holder ASCA/AKC CH Clankeep’s Magic Legend NA, RS-N, NAC and her Mom Linda Whitaker of Seun Aussies. Magic had a clean run for a 10 pt Qualifying Run - 9 seconds under the SCT of 47 seconds, first place Standard Agility Novice A in ASCA and NADAC to finish her titles!

27 April - Huge Congratulations to Kelley Curtin of Al Nair Aussies on her win with her Mischief Granddaughter “Liberty”  Al’ Nair’s Let Freedom Ring! She was WB/BOW for 2 points in Springfield Mo. from the puppy class at only 8 mo. old! Congrats!!!

April 21-25 2003 USASA Nationals - Ruthie (Briarbrook’s Toodaloo) was 1st Place in her OPEN BLUE Class at the USASA National Specialty!  AND was in the final cut of 4 for WB!

Also at the Nationals, Shiraz (Cobbercrest Glory of Barrosa) made the cut in the very competitive 12-18 class!  

12 April Huge Congratulations to Linda Whitaker and Magic ( AKC/ASCA CH. ClanKeep’s Magic Legend, NA ) on their AKC Novice Agility title. Magic finished her title with 2 first place rankings and one second place ranking! What a great show! Congratulations!!!

3 - 5 April - We spent the weekend at Wichita Regional Specialty and All Breed Show Cluster.....    We had a very successful outing! 

Ruthie (Briarbrook’s Toodaloo) was Winners Bitch/Best of Winners at the Regional Specialty!!

Vin (Briarbrook’s Private Reserve) was Winners Bitch/Best of Winners on Saturday with the same number of entries as the Regional! 

Shiraz (Cobbercrest Glory of Barrosa) was shown for the first time and was in the ribbons both days in large, tough 12-18 bitch classes.

Ropa (Fiann’s Phonecian Princess) had some lovely Excellent Agility runs last weekend! Congrats to Lisa and Ropa.

What a weekend for the Fiann Ladies !

Also, Congratulations to Fiann Students Peggy and Oliver, who were WD in Claremore OK, and Jane and Diamond, who got their first point last weekend in Wichita!

8 March - Well, after a hiatus we are back at it again. Quincy, our Fiann-Client is finished! Thanks to a little help from our friend, and wonderful handler, Audra Snyder (for that last point!) he is now CH. Cachalot Made in the USA going WD and BOS over 3 specials!!!!! Quincy went right from the Conformation ring to the Rally 1 ring for a THIRD place! Congratulations to Quincy’s Mum and Dad, Nicki and Doug Gundersen, ‘newfie-brothers’ Calvin and Barnabus.... and breeders Kathy McIver and Betty McDonnell. The Q-Man is now off to work on getting his CD, and additional Search Dog cadaver dog certifications! Nicki and Quincy’s Newfie brothers were written about it National Geographic! read it HERE.

11 Feburary - Westminster KC, NYNY - Most hearty congratulation to CH. Briarbrook’s Quicksilver “Ricky” and his breeder/co-owner Linda Wilson and co-owner Alice Brock! The Fiann gang celebrates their ‘uncle Ricky’s’ winning of the Best Of Breed! 

8 Feburary - Ottumwa, IA - Fiann Client Quincy was WD, and BOW!

1-2 Feburary - St. Joe, MO - It was quite a day again! Ruthie was WB/BOW for a major on her second day out! . In addition, Tempo’s Brother was WD on Sunday again!

18-19 January 2003 - Des Moines, IA - It was quite a day. Ruthie had her first day in the show ring, and brought out Winners Bitch and Best Of Winners! What a way to start!  and Fiann-Client Quincy was WD as well. In addition, Pesto’s sister and brother were BOB and BOS, and Vin’s sister was RWB, Tempo’s brother was WD!  Winning was all in the family this weekend!

2002

7-8 December - Fiann Client Quincy went to St. Cloud, MN.  We missed our entries for the regional, but did swing in on Saturday in time to take a lovely 5 Pt Major! Quincy now has both his majors, and is just 2 points shy of his Championship!

21-24 November - FiannDogs were at the Omaha Cluster! Vin won her class every day, and Nero discovered the world was his oyster! Just what were were hoping for this young man! Quincy, a wonderful Fiann client, was first in his class 3 of 4 days at the HANC supported entry, and went WD/BOW on Saturday for a 4pt major! and the weekend prior, Tempo finished her ASCA CH.

19 October - FiannDog  Magic (AKC/ASCA CH. ClanKeep’s Magic Legend - a MISCHIEF daughter) was entered in her second Agility match! She was second place! With her second leg in just two weekends~~~~  GO Magic!!!!!  

12 October - Vin (with her other Mum Tricia handling was WB/BOW at the Lawrence KC show! 

5 October - FiannDog  Magic (AKC/ASCA CH. ClanKeep’s Magic Legend - a MISCHIEF daughter) was entered in her FIRST agility match. Magic got her first leg and went 1st plac with a 200 score and more than 30% under course time!  Congratulations Linda and Magic!

Sept 28, 29 - In Agility.... Ropa (Fiann’s Phonecian Princess, CD, AX, AXJ, CGC) , a Mischief Kid,double Qualified in Advanced Standard and Jumpers, taking first and third respectively on Saturday and Second in Standards on Sunday! She and her mom, Lisa, are now working on their Masters in Agility!... Watch for them soon in the Obedience Open ring and also doing Freestyle! We are so proud~ Congratulations Lisa and Ropa!

20,21, 22 Sept. - FiannDogs traveled down to Dallas Fort Worth. Quincy (aka. Q-Man, a Fiann Client)had a fine weekend! He won his class at the regional, was RWD on Saturday and WD on Sunday.... all from the 12-18 class!

24,25 Aug - FiannDogs were at the Kansas City Show series. Saturday, Nero showed like a champ, and Kerchak’s Clemwood Black Onyx “Hope” as Bard daughter was Winners Bitch for a major that finished her championship! Congratulations Tricia!  Also, a Fiann Client, Quincy - the “Q-Man” was Winners dog from the puppy class in the Newfoundland Ring! Sunday, Pesto won her class and the”Q-Man” was RWD. Congratulations to Pesto’s litter brother “Larry” older full-sister “Diva” on completing their Championships on the same day!

9,10,11 Aug - Several FiannDogs and Fiann relations were at the Kansas OZASC show this weekend. Kel (AKC/ASCA CH. Kerckak’s Celitc Bard ‘O Seun - a BARD son) was BOB Friday and Saturday, Magic (AKC/ASCA CH. ClanKeep’s Magic Legend - a MISCHIEF daughter) was A-BOB on Friday! and Tempo (CH. Rainyday’s the Beat Goes On) was WB. She just lacks 1 point for her ASCA CH.

19,20,21 July - BIG News from the Houston Reliant Dog Show Cluster! Tani (CH. Fairytale Midsummer’s Sprite) was WB, BOW, BOS all three days, finishing her championship!  In addition to that, Ropa (Fiann’s Phonecian Princess, CD, AX, AXJ, CGC) , a Mischief Kid, finished her AXJ. Congrats Lisa! We are so proud!  Pesto was first in her class each day she showed, and Hope (Kerchak Clemwood Black Onyx) a Bard Kid won the largest class of the day (Open Black) Saturday and Sunday, and was RWB on Saturday.

15 - 16 June - After a break to go to the Aussie Nationals, we are back, and in Fort Dodge,IA. . Vin was first in her class of 5 on Saturday, with Sunday for vacation, and Pesto had her first day in the ring on Sunday, taking the blue, and showing well.  Our wonderful new Newf client, Quincy aka. Cachelot’s Made in the USA joined us this weekend for his first time out. He was WD both days over Open from the Puppy Class!

Also in Ft. Dodge, Fiann’s new friend and client, Quincy, a 9 month old Newf had his first weekend out with us! Quincy was Winners Dog both days from the puppy class! 

Congratulations to Ropa (aka. Fiann’s Phonecian Princess CD, AX, OAJ) and mom, Lisa,  on her new Agility Excellent (AX) title!  Go Ropa!

11-12 May - Vin and Nero attended the Emporia KS show this weekend.  Neither took home the purple ribbons, but Nero was a superstar, showing like a ‘grown-up’ show dog only his second weekend out!  And Vin took Second and First respectively in Open Blue. 

4-5 May - Vin and her ‘other mom’, Co-Owner Tricia Clements, took a trip to the Lincoln, NE shows. Together, they had a great weekend....... on Saturday Vin was WB and on Sunday she was WB/BOW.

20 - 21 April - In Topeka KS Vin had a very exciting weekend! On Saturday, she won her class, but on Sunday......... She was Winners Bitch, Best of Winners and Best of Breed over 2 Specials!!! All from the 12-18mo class! We missed a major by one bitch and 2 were absent. This as also an exciting weekend for Nero, who went to his first dog show. He placed 2nd and 3rd in his class on Saturday and Sunday. He showed very well and received lovely comments from the judge! 

13 - 14  April - Grove OK show was this weekends fun for Vin who went RWB BOTH days!  

4 - 7  April - Vin went to the Australian Shepherd Regional Specialty in and  the Wichita Cluster shows at Valley Center, KS.  She was in the ribbons on Thursday, took the day off on Friday, First in her Class on Saturday and Reserve Winners Bitch to a 5 point major on Sunday!  She also won her class at Saturday nights OzASCA show. 

23 March - Vin went out in the big girl class (Open Blue) for the first time.  She showed very well and was 3rd in her class of very mature girls at the Fort Worth TX show. Nero went to his first show (just to learn what being a show dog is all about.) He was the life of the party, making new friends everywhere he went.

16- 17 March - Vin was Second on Saturday and First on Sunday in the 12-18 Bitch class of major competition at the Kansas City show.

15 March- Another Fianndog joined the bunch. “Ruthie” is lovely Blue Merle Girl from Briarbrook. She is co-owned with Linda Wilson..

10 March- We added a new Fianndog. “Shiraz” is pretty Red Merle Girl from Cobbercrest. She is co-owned with Tricia Clements of Clemwood Aussies.

9-10 March - Vin competed against her sister Roxy this weekend and placed second in the 12-18 Class at Columbia MO - Congratulations Roxy!

8-10 March - ASCA Show Tempo went WB, BOW for a 5 point ASCA Major; Kel (Bard’s Son) Finished his ASCA CH and went BOB the next day as a move-up! Congratulations Linda Whitaker of Seun Kennel!
